Nice little hotel to travel around the city. Nice setting with some decent restaurants. Metro station is 5 minutes from the venue. With pleasure again.
Accommodation lived up to expectations.
Very good breakfast. Staff super friendly and courteous. We had a renovated room, very good and completely new bathroom. A little small for 3 people, but enough for a weekend trip.
Staircase to the rooms needs renovation.
Staircase, if you didn't want to use the elevator, was pretty dark.
Breakfast . Comfortable bed . Cleanliness . Very friendly staff
Comfortable good value for money, clean, close to metro/super market/coffee shops/bakeries.
Coffee & Tea facilities in the bedroom were poor. There is a kettle but no cups, not enough sugar/coffee/tea and not renewed everyday.
value for money has been great in expensive paris
Staff was very helpful and ready to answer and assist in all questions.Rooms were typical of a european hotel, on the small side, bedding a little worn, bathroom was completely updated and modern, lovely balcony w/french doors off of room. Beautiful lobby. Internet access available in w/our computer for free or in hotel lobby there is a public computer for free. Located in residential area but close to Metro and easy to get in to visit all Paris icons.Highly reccommend.
I highlight the location and the good value for money. Great for who wants to visit the city. The hotel is situated in a Paris residential area where you can find many cafes, restaurants, bakeries, etc. This zone is also characterized by a few streets intended for commerce. The accessibility is good, with two metro stations, referring to two distinct lines, only 5/7 minutes from the hotel. Any one of these lines passes through the most historic part of town. Regarding the hotel itself, I highlight the convenience and friendliness of its staff. On the morning of our arrival we found that the room booked was not yet clean and tidy. The recepcionist immediately gave us a new room, which was even bigger than the one that we have reserved.
As a negative point I highlight the very small area of the bathroom.
Location near Port de Versailles Expo
Very classic style interior deco however, all in very good condition (newly renovated)
The Hotel de la Paix is a clean, comfortable hotel located in a quiet neighborhood in Paris. Bakery, grocery/supermarkets nearby as well as some restaurants. Subway within walking distance as well as the bus. Major attractions were easy to get to from the hotel using the subway system. Definitely would stay there again.
Everything .. I really find the peace here .. Silence, atmosphere, good price fot Paris , even a clean and spacius room
Only the matress in 501 is maybe a bit broken or too soft
Conveniene and price
Room was a little small for 3 people, but not uncomfortably small
Although a very short stay, the area was excellent for restaurants (even in Paris in August), the staff were very helpful and our bathroom was brilliant - looked as though it had never been used before, it was so clean and beautifully appointed. Large comfy bed. Very happy.
The Hotel de la Paix is a gem in the heart of Paris! I should not disclose it because it means that I will face tougher competition when I book a room there again.... I went twice to this hotel the first time for leasure and the second for business, and twice this hotel got the highest marks. In a high middle class arrondissement, it is ideally located on the metro line 8 that can provide the ipporutnity of a day combining neighborhood shopping in the "Rue du Commerce", cultural visit with the Invalides and Napoleon's tomb, more shopping at Opera with Galeries Lafayettes and Printemps, or an evening at...the Opera. Yet, it is in a small quiet street, rue Duranton, in a safe neighborhood, and the lobby welcomes customers with a fabulous stone fireplace and real fire, cosy armchairs, and piles of books (for who reads French!), tourist guides, adnd magazines. There is an elevator that actually works and can fit easily 2 people with suitcases. Personnel is discret and classy, very accommodating. Last Friday, I had to take a cab at 5.15 am to get to the airport for my first flight of the day.... Breakfast is ususally not served before 7.00 am, when fresh bread and pastries are delviered by the baker (!), yet the night guard prepared me a pot of coffee with milk and gave me a yoghourt so that I would not leave on a trip with an empty stomach (in addition to the aggravation of an early flight!) especially in winter. These are small personal details that carve a clear difference between an impersonal Marriott or Hyatt, and a customer- attentive unpretentious and human hotel, in a charming and safe neighborhood. The rooms are Paris-size, that is very small, but soooo tastefully decorated with fabric on the walls, well restored vintage/classic furniture and smell good. Very nice bathroom- small but contemporary with two showers (incl. Rain shower) and hair dryer. The rooms and bathrooms are impecably clean and fresh.
Personally, nothing, but whoever seeks flees finds some.... I guess for the good caricatural visitor used to very large rooms with minibar andhuge flat screen tv, begging servants to accommodate size and personal insecurity, and receptionists overflowing with smiles (fake) to present you an inflated bill with 5 Euros small bottle of water.....and 10-15 euros a day WiFi..... Hotel de la Paix will require some adjustment.
